MOSMAN
Through major renovations GPM transformed this house into a highly detailed large family home. The house had varying views toward the city and harbour which were capitalised through the construction of a large rear loggia consisting of a series of timber bi-folds, travertine tiling and Motorised shutters, which maximised the clients privacy. During demolition GPM discovered the existing retaining walls were constructed of Sydney sandstone. GPM worked closely with the Client and Palfreeman Sweeney Architects to develop an amendment to the scope which enabled 'feature' stone walls to be incorporated into the design. Some of the features installed by GPM include a combination of parquetry and engineered timber flooring to all common areas, heated tiled floors to all wet areas, detailed landscaping surrounding the property, a 60m2 mosaic tiled swimming pool with an in floor cleaning system and a large spotted gum decking area. Each of these features maximised the use of this spacious block.
